Independent bolt spacing
Set front and rear widths separately for a four-bolt pattern. The base grows around the holes and the material needed beside them.
Camera placement
Adjust tilt, lift, and forward or sideways position. Seat the sleeve on the base or raise it with a support.
Sleeve preparation
Import an STL or OBJ, align it, and trim away the old mounting base. Save the prepared sleeve for another build.

- The camera sleeve’s outside size and orientation
- Front and rear bolt widths, plus front-to-rear spacing
- Screw and head diameters, camera angle, and available space
The preview helps you design the part. Printed fit, retention, and strength still depend on your measurements, material, and printer.

Prepare the sleeve
Choose a saved sleeve or import and prepare a mesh that fits your camera.
Measure the frame
Enter the actual mounting pattern and set the camera position while reviewing the 3D preview.
Export and test
Save the editable project, export an STL in the full version, and inspect it in your slicer before a test print.
Questions about action camera mounts
Can I make a GoPro or DJI action camera mount?
You can use a prepared sleeve or import a suitable STL or OBJ sleeve for the camera. Fit depends on that sleeve and your measurements; Mount Maker does not infer a camera’s shape from its name.
Can I change an existing mount’s bolt pattern?
Import a suitable connected sleeve mesh and trim its old mounting hardware. Mount Maker then builds a new base around your chosen pattern. Mesh preparation requirements still apply.
Is this a ready-made STL download?
This is a design tool. The full Windows version exports the STL you generate. The free demo lets you try the workflow and save projects, but does not export printable STLs.
