Downloads & platform setup
Choose the current Windows, macOS, or Linux build, understand the demo, and find your writable libraries.
Choose your download#
The Mount Maker itch.io page lists Beta 0.9.3 Full and Demo builds for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Check both the platform and version in the download name. Older releases may appear alongside the current files.
The free demo lets you explore the tools and save editable projects. Printable STL and library exports require the full version. A demo project can be reopened in the full version.
Existing customers should use their itch.io purchase or download access. The product page says previous purchasers should not need to buy again; contact [email protected] if you cannot access your purchase.
Windows#
Use the Windows x64 build. Follow the instructions supplied with your download; if it is an archive, extract the complete package before opening the app and keep its accompanying folders and files together.
The product page lists the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable as a requirement. If it is missing or needs updating, use Microsoft's official download page.
Beta 0.9.3 restores automatic graphics selection on Windows. If startup or geometry generation fails, record the exact message, operating-system version, and graphics hardware when asking for support.
macOS#
Download the current Mac OS-X package from itch.io and follow its included installation instructions. The Beta 0.9.3 announcement states that this release is notarized through Apple. This is the current rebuilt application, separate from the historical Mac releases discussed in older devlogs.
If macOS prevents the app from opening, record the complete message and confirm you have the latest official download before contacting support. Include your macOS version and Mac model; do not assume that every older Mac or operating-system version has been tested.
Linux#
Choose the Linux Full or Demo build. The release includes native file dialogs and writable libraries. The product page identifies Ubuntu as the tested distribution; it does not establish compatibility with every Linux distribution.
Follow the instructions supplied with the Linux package. For a problem, include the distribution and version, desktop environment, graphics hardware, and the full error message.
Find your libraries#
Use Open folder in the sleeve or drone-profile library to locate the folder used by your installed build. Library locations can differ between platforms and between the development editor and installed app. Use the folder the app opens rather than assuming it is beside the executable.
After copying a shared asset into that folder, choose Refresh. Use Add shared sleeve… to import and validate a sleeve through the app. Keep backups of your .mmproject, .mmsleeve, and .mmdrone files before replacing or moving an installation.
Set up your screen#
Open Display in the toolbar to adjust interface size, choose a window preset, or use fullscreen. Your display preferences are remembered on that computer. See Workbench & controls for the settings.
