Whoop canopies
Set a mounting pattern, fit the camera and electronics, and add antenna holders to a custom whoop canopy.

Choose Whoop canopy in the design selector. The initial Air65-style layout uses a 25.5 mm square bolt pattern with the camera facing a corner. This is a starting layout, not a guarantee of compatibility with your frame.
Set Bolt spacing · square sides using the distance between adjacent bolt centers, not the diagonal. Select the front, right, rear, and left feet your frame uses; at least two must remain enabled.
Use Space above bolt seats to reserve height for electronics. Under Advanced fit & strength, check Electronics width, Electronics length, frame bolt-hole and screw-head sizes, and foot thickness against the actual build.
Choose and measure the camera#
Under Camera & position > Camera type, choose a starting preset or Custom dimensions. The preset applies both dimensions and a mounting method; frame settings, camera angle, requested position, and strength settings stay in place.
- DJI O4 Wide and O4 Lite presets use their original mounts. The O4 Lite preset is for the standard O4 Air Unit, not O4 Pro or a bare camera.
- RunCam Nano 2, RunCam Nano 4, Caddx Ant, and Walksnail Avatar Nano V3 use side screws. Check the camera revision and estimated screw offset. Nano 4 does not mean Racer Nano 4.
- Caddx Ant Lite and HDZero ECO use a TPU board-edge press fit. Their starting grip depths are estimates; check the held board/body stack on your camera.
Open Change camera fit to edit the outside width, depth, height, and screw positions. Edited preset dimensions display as Custom and stay with the project. Existing projects retain their entered camera dimensions until you change them or apply a preset.
Set the camera position#
Adjust Camera center height, Forward from frame center, and Camera uptilt. Automatic fit starts enabled and can raise or move the camera forward to clear electronics, screw supports, and antenna hardware. It keeps your entered camera size and bolt spacing.
Read the fit message when the actual position differs from the requested controls. The preview, saved project, and STL use that fitted result. Turn Automatic fit off if you want direct placement and resolve any resulting conflicts yourself.
The rear deck follows the electronics clearance while the nose follows the camera. The guides do not model your ducts or props and cannot guarantee a clear camera view.
Fit screws or a press-fit cradle#
With Side screws, check the number of screws per side, vertical spacing, and offsets from the camera body center under Change camera fit. The M1, M1.4, M1.6, and M2 choices create clearance holes, not threads. Use the actual camera's correct screw type and safe length.
For the DJI original-mount presets, keep the original rubber mount installed. Slide the assembly in from the front before installing its side screws.
With Press-fit cradle, enter the depth held between the rear stop and front lips, excluding the projecting lens. Adjust Fit allowance per side and Front lip overlap for flexible TPU; a negative allowance tightens the fit. Flex the lips to insert the camera from the front, and check retention with a small test print.
Add antenna holders#
Under Antenna holder, choose zero, one, or two holders. Set the measured bore, tube length, and rearward lean. For a pair, Spread each antenna sideways opens both tubes outward up to 90 degrees, which is horizontal.
Roots inside canopy keeps the mounting points inside the canopy boundary; tilted tips can still extend outside it. Behind canopy moves the mounting points behind the hood. Angles pivot around fixed roots rather than sliding them around the shell. Wiring exits beneath the sockets.
Check the actual antenna heads, cables, and prop clearance. A conflict with camera hardware or frame screw access can block the result.
Save, export, and test#
Wait for a valid preview. If settings are rejected, correct the inline issue or choose Restore valid settings; the previous model on screen does not validate the rejected dimensions.
Save a .mmproject to keep the editable canopy. The full version exports one connected canopy with Export STL; colored camera and electronics guides are excluded. The demo can save projects to reopen in the full version but cannot export printable STLs.
Inspect the sliced shell, lips, mounting feet, screw access, and antenna sockets. Check printed fit, stiffness, retention, ventilation, vibration, and the prop view on your actual build. See Exporting & test printing.
